Swami Nardanand Paramahams
Siddha Master Swami Ji Maharaj Nardanand Paramahams was born in a small farming village in northern India. At the age of 8 he met his first master Swami Laxananda ji Maharaj and knew he wanted to live with him. His spiritual path called him at such a young age and
his family supported him so he went to live with this master and through him studied at the Gurukul school, (a school for vedic studies of Sanskrit and the scriptures). He vowed to be be a swami at the tender age of 14, renouncing worldly life, in search of the Divine Truth.
He then wandered as a pilgrim, going to holy sites and cities around India, in search of a master and a practice that would enable him to experience the divine truth. In 1985, by divine grace, he met his Shaktipat Guru Swami Shivom Tirth Maharaj, who initiated him into the lineage of Siddha Maha Yoga. This blessing of Shaktipat was so profound for him that he knew he had found his true master and his path.
He lived an aesthetic life, focussing wholeheartedly on his meditation, living in caves in the himalayas and the jungle, for years. He found the truth he was so earnestly seeking and vowed to live a life of service. His guru guided him to create Siddha Ashram, in the holy city of Ujjain, Madya Pradesh and also guided him to start giving Shaktipat himself.
Shaktipat is the blessing of awakening you to your full potential. The divine is beyond our imagination and grasp, it is so vast, it is hard to perceive. But the Shaktipat blessing enables the seeker to feel that potential moving in them, so they can feel empowered and have a greater awareness of all that is.
Swami Nardanand Ji Maharaj has enabled so many sadhaks (spiritual seekers), around the world to know themselves as divine. He has travelled tirelessly around the world, empowering them with this blessing. His heart is so pure and wishes for all beings to become free from suffering. His every breath is for humanity and service. His happiness is in each sadhak’s progress.
